HEAVEN SENT HORSES
Heaven-Sent Horses helps families and individuals heal and rebuild their lives after a major life crisis. Through our Horses Healing Grief Mini Day Camps, mental health professionals and trained volunteers provide a therapeutic setting in which grieving children can get the help they need without feeling like they have been in therapy. We bring the magic of horses into the untouched places in those in need of healing, support, change, or growth.
The Magic of Horses
There is just something bigger than life about horses, especially when they interact with humans.
- They are creatures which live in the here and now, but somehow magically transport our emotions to worlds unknown. Their size, their power under restraint, their grace and beauty, all charm us into a state of awe.
- They inspire our courage, and help us find a moment of peace when it has eluded us in our hectic lives.
- They show affection, depend on us, and willingly partner with us for our pleasure, taking on tasks they could not have imagined in the wild. No wonder they can unlock our deepest fears and touch our deepest needs.

Help for Kids and Families
Heaven-Sent Horses serves families and children through its own programs, as well as through partnerships with area non-profits and community service agencies, meeting needs that none of us could meet alone.
Horses Healing Grief Mini Day Camps
Children and Caregivers spend a half day in the quiet comfort of a working horse farm with other families who have had a loved one die. Horses comfort and help children and adults understand life after a loss.
At Horses Healing Grief Mini Day Camps, children will learn:
• That they are not alone; other kids have had a similar loss
• That it is OK to share their stories or feelings with others who understand | Horses Healing Teens
Small groups focus on teens with complications in their lives following profound loss. Counselors and horse specialists create a safe place for teens to search for new coping and life skills. Horses model healthy relationships and respectful communication. Assisting teens in residential treatment and in targeted community groups.
Individual and Family Counseling
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions designed to bypass common roadblocks to progress in therapy and to complement ongoing traditional therapy.
