PROJECTS
Project Sanctuary Project Sanctuary provides retreats for veterans and active duty military personnel who have been affected by their service. Balancing leisure and structured time, families are treated to experiences that are therapeutic, curative, and supportive. Michael serves as Director of Counseling for the project, and is currently developing equine assisted programming focused on strengthening families and supporting the resiliency of non-service family members. For more information about this amazing new program, visit Project Sanctuary at www.projectsanctuary.us.
Griffith Centers for Children Horses Healing Teens has expanded into the residential treatment arena, providing grief and loss services for the Griffith Center for Children. Michael always has believed that our losses, especially when experienced early in life, can have a profound influence on the rest of our lives. Bringing the magic of horses into the lives of severely affected adolescent boys is an opportunity of a lifetime. Long term goals include researching the impact of equine assisted psychotherapy on diagnosed mood disorders, as well as its influence on the resiliency of residents.
